Julia Fullerton-Batten | Jonny Carter | Nicola Donovan | Rainer Elstermann Seonna Hong | Yuko Nasu | Aleix Plademunt | Natalie Tkachuk ''A Visual Dialogue' presents multidisciplinary artists who push the boundaries of Fine Art practice, from an expression of purpose and aesthetic to an exploration of visual language systems, which aren't governed by any specific 'rules'. It will provoke questions such as "Where does Art end and Design begin?" And "At what point does fashion photography become Fine Art?"
By utilising visual languages from Design, Photography, Craft and Fashion, the selected artists explore the narrative potential of their mediums to convey their message, raising the question - does this sharing of language systems create a collapse of visual distinction?"
Artists include US based Animator, Art Director and much sought after Painter Seonna Hong, thought provoking fashion based photography from Julia Fullerton-Batten and Rainer Elstermann. Both photographers work for the worlds leading advertising agency, Saatchi and Saatchi.
Showing for the second time with bo.lee gallery are London based photographer Natalie Tkachuk, Bath Spa University trained Jonny Carter and Japanese artist Yuko Nasu
New to the gallery is Bath based Nicola Donovan who brings together a keen interest in fashion and a fascination with the language of dress with richly textured surfaces created through the use of multiple constructed objects - pins, scalpel blades and detailed lace. Italian based photographer Aleix Plademunt explores the territory of "the emptiness of the word", clearly illustrating the conceptual vacuum in which we operate. His work is held in many private and public collections throughout Europe and the US.
If you are unable to make the exhibition dates then please visit the gallery between 9th and 27th February where the exhibition will continue.'
